Juli James, Initiative Coordinator

Juli James is an initiative manager for the Center for Games & Impact. Her duties include innovation lab and student outreach, marketing communications, and social media. She also works with ASU’s Cronkite School for Journalism and Mass Communication on a collaborative initiative exploring news games and game-infused solutions for journalism.

Juli began her career as a journalist in southern Arizona. Later, she served as an Army broadcaster for the 1st Infantry Division and worked with the Armed Forces Network (AFN) affiliate in Wurzburg, Germany. After returning to Arizona, Juli worked with the Governor’s Arizona-Mexico Commission (AMC) where she oversaw marketing communications initiatives for the Commission and the Arizona’s policy priorities as they related to the Arizona-Mexico relationship. Outside of work, Juli enjoys knitting, running, and knitting… She occasionally spins (as in fiber into yarn, not on a bike at the gym). Though, most of all there is nothing more important to Juli than time with her family, hanging out with her husband, and chasing around their four active daughters (even though this interferes with knitting).

She can be reached by email at juli.james@asu.edu.
